The 2001 romance drama, Iris, captures the life of novelist Iris Murdoch between flashbacks of her youth and her present-day battle with Alzheimer's.  This movie's poignant and effective tug on the heartstrings is no doubt a testament to the stellar cast including Kate Winslet, Dame Judi Dench, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Bonneville, and Penelope Wilton.  This film is melancholy, but it packs a punch in just over 90 minutes.
